ECA – European Cockpit Association

eca

The European Cockpit Association (ECA) was formed in 1991 as an autonomous group of National Flight Crew Associations, representing their members' interests at European Union (EU) level. In May 1998, a constitutional change opened ECA's door to pilots from EFTA Countries.

ECA is first and foremost concerned with aviation safety. This is best maintained with well trained crews, along with harmonised regulations for employment conditions, flight crew licences, flight and duty time limitations and aircraft maintenance.

ECA is proud of its development as the representative of Flight Crew Associations at EU level and of its recent admission as social partner in the EU sectoral social dialogue policy. ECA and its members wish to play a fully active and responsible role in the development of a sound and harmonious growth of the air transport industry.
